Frequently Asked Questions About The RideInn
Question: Is the RideInnTM water proof or water resistant?
Answer: The RideInnTM cover is waterproof. It’s a highly durable nylon outside layer and a waterproof PVC under lining.
Question: Why is the cover blue?
Answer: The color blue is highly UV and fade resistant. Other colors will be available later this year.
Question: Are RideInnTM covers available in different colors?
Answer: We will offer a wider color range later this year. Colors in red, green, camo and gray are going to be offered. We are also developing a extra heavy-duty cover for trailer applications. In addition we’re investigating an extreme cover for installations in temperatures consistently below 32 degrees F or 0 degrees C.
Question: Can I install the RideInnTM System on my trailer or truck bed?
Answer: The RideInnTM was not designed for trailer installations.
Question: Why do I need a RideInnTM if I already have a garage?
Answer: Many people do not have the luxury of a separate garage for their power sport vehicles or motorcycles. The RideInnsTM heavy duty steel frame protects the stored item from dents, dust and dings. One dented motorcycle gas tank would pay for the RideInnTM. Another positive is that while your garage is open your expensive motorcycle is covered. Out of sight, out of mind.
Question: Do I need to secure the RideInnTM?
Answer: Yes, it is advisable for outdoor installations to secure the RideInnTM bottom floor bracing. The simplest installation involves a 4’ x 8’ x ¾” plywood sheet. Anchor the plywood with carriage bolts. While the motorcycle is in the RideInnTM there is ample weight. When the bike is not in the RideInnTM some patio blocks in the front corners serve as excellent ballast. The best installations anchor the available securing points to concrete or pavement.
Question: Will my stored bike or items become damp depending upon the time and year and humidity?
Answer: the RideInnTM is skirted on the bottom to keep out rain and dust. There are side vents to allow airflow. There is even and additional solar fan to keep a constant flow of air in the RideInnTM enclosure. The RideInnTM keeps morning dew and condensation off of your bike or stored materials.
Question: Can I order replacement covers in the event my cover is damaged?
Answer: Yes, replacement covers will be available in April.
Question: Can the RideInnTM be locked down?
Answer: Yes, we offer a simple latch system that permits padlocking. The RideInnTM is a cloth construction but the steel structure becomes a mechanical barrier to thieves. Thieves are lazy and won’t want to fool around with nuts and bolts.
